Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born April 16, 1997 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychologist. The father of her mother, who is Argentinan of Scottish as well as English heritage is her mother. Her mother is of Spanish as well as English ancestry. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children, four come from her father's previous marriage. The family is originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatizing and that she didn't take the time to learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. She had to switch schools between Northlands and then Hill House. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet and act in school productions. Then she dropped out of the high school aged 16 to focus on her acting profession. Taylor-Joy had always wanted to become an actor. As a teenager, Sarah Doukas Founder of Storm Management gave her the opportunity to be a model.
